I dont know why I hadn't thought of this sooner. Kaden has had a rough time this year in soccer. He runs slow and occasionally limps and complains that his legs hurt. Wednesday night at soccer practice I decided to send him in tennis shoes instead of cleats. Did the same thing for his game yesterday and he had his best game ever! Besides his little mouth (he loves to talk) I think the cleats were holding him back!
Got a newsletter home from Kaden's teacher. Everyone has to know how to tie their shoes by the 31st of October. If not then they must remain untied or have someone else tie their shoes for them. We've got a lot of work to do!
Had a hard time picking out a new doctor for Kaden. Kaden's old doctor doesn't do immunizations and my insurance doesnt cover at the health department so we had to find a new doc. It's hard for me to pick doctors since I work with so many of them. I know they treat people differently in their office then they do at the hospital but I just cant deal with someone in the office that is totally rude when i'm working. Picked one and the appt is today. It's not the appt that I dread, it's the 4-5 shots that he has to get today. Poor kid. We've talked about it. He gets tearful. I tell him the reason behind the shots and then he calms down.
I cant believe my baby starts kindergarten next Thursday!
This past month has just flown by. It seems like we never have time to sit and relax. It's always run run run.
Baseball season has started. About the funniest thing ive ever seen. This has soccer beat.
Kaden's 1st game was last Thursday. He hit the ball well. He does not understand the concept of running to 1st base so he stands at home plate for about 10 seconds and then runs.
He has at least 3 games this week (maybe 4) due to the rain we've had the past few weeks.
We went to Florida last week on vacation. We left on Monday came back on Friday. It rained every day all day long except 6 hours on Thursday. The sun came out one time and that was for a very short time. Despite the weather not being great we had a nice time. The one good thing about the weather= No waits in line. We could get off some rides run around and get back on. That was really nice. Kaden LOVED meeting all of the characters and even got to meet the REAL Buzz Light year.
My sister was inducted into the National Honor Society yesterday at Millikin. I am so proud of her. She works a full time job, has a husband, 2 children, is very active in her church, and still made National Honor Society!
